Do I need the Laurastar App - and how do I connect the AURA to it?

You can use the Laurastar AURA without the app — it will steam clean straight out of the box. But the app is essential to protect your investment and get the most from your machine.

To connect: scan the QR code sticker on the water tank of your AURA. This opens the Laurastar app directly to the pairing screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Once connected, the app becomes the smart brain behind your AURA: it reads your water hardness test results, calculates the exact lifespan of your anti-scale cartridges, guides you step by step through descaling cycles, and sends a notification when maintenance is due. Without this calibration, cartridges may run out sooner than necessary (costing you money) or go unreplaced for too long — risking limescale build-up in the Thermoblock.

Set it up once, benefit for years.  The water hardness calibration takes two minutes. It's the single most important step to protect the longevity of your AURA.
